GLOSSARY TERM
  Master Plan

  DESCRIPTION
A Master Plan was previously a document that could be required by an Environmental Planning Instrument to outline the overall plan for a complex and staged redevelopment of a site(s). Since 2005, Master Plans are no longer contemplated by the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (NSW) and any requirement in a State Environmental Planning Policy to create a Master Plan will now be taken as a requirement to create a Development Control Plan (Schedule 6 clause 95 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (NSW)).
