  Consumer Trader & Tenancy Tribunal

  DESCRIPTION
The NSW Fair Trading Tribunal and the Residential Tribunal merged to form the Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal (CTTT) in February 2002 under the Consumer Trader & Tenancy Tribunal Act 2001 (NSW). The CTTT was established as a specialist dispute resolution forum for consumer, trader and tenancy and home building claims aimed at providing an independent, low cost and accessible avenue to effectively and speedily resolve disputes. Its jurisdiction, in relation to home building disputes, is capped at $500,000 so that claims beyond this amount should be referred to the courts.
